CRIMES OF LOVE & PASSION (NUMBER 1)

Book Details + Condition: Federation Press (London). First Edition, 1928 (No date provided). 7-3/4" x 5.25". A scarce and early title by Paul Renin. The first of a series of four, this issue contains two stories - Phillip Baker's "Her Secret Lover" and Renin's "The Madcap of Paris," which is described as "a true story of a mad little bohemian in the world's wickedest city". No date is provided, but the Federation Press gives an address at Gramol House, becoming Gramol Publications in 1928 - but Moritz & Chambers, and advertiser from 80 York Rd, appears not to have been at that address prior to that year. In very good condition: light wear to original wrappers, with small tear to upper front cover and torn corner; normal age toning to pages; interior is clean and free of markings.
